Gifted & Talented Screening Prep
The Gifted and Talented service is offered to select Katy IDS students in grade K-12. A student may be referred for screening for GT service during designated windows each school year. During the screening process, multiple indicators are collected, including information from parents and teachers as well as standardized test scores.
Before children take the GT screening, they should understand the types of questions most likely to be asked. Taking the GT screening evaluation without preparation may put a child at a great disadvantage. Not only will proper preparation help them achieve a high score, but a positive outcome will boost their self-confidence. Doing poorly on the GT screening could have disastrous effects, both long and short term, on your child’s education.
Our customized preparation approach will familiarize your child with the different types of questions most likely to be asked as well as provide tutor-supervised practice of different types of problems from the following test methods:
- Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)
- Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT)
- Stanford Achievement Test
- Metropolitan Achievement Test
Make today the day you jumpstart your child’s journey to greatness.
