We provide results-based Math tutoring to help children master Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and to help young brilliant minds prepare for exciting and challenging Math competitions.
Small group math tutoring, big imapct.
Math develops the brain in different ways and it is a discipline that builds upon itself. Consequently, strong math skills at a young age are crucial to overall success. Thus, early math tutoring will encourage an understanding of mathematical concepts that need to be mastered in order to lay a strong foundation for more complex challenges in the future.
Brainy Learning Club’s experienced tutors and mentors will work with your student in small groups not more than 3 per tutor to strengthen and master mathematical concepts through dedicated practice. This approach eases anxiety, increases self-confidence, and develops problem-solving skills to ensure their success later in life.
Brainy Learning Club provides customized math tutoring approach tailored to each student’s strengths and weakness. Our math tutoring programs include topic request, homework support, test preparation, and general improvement. Tutor-guided practice strengthen the understanding of necessary mathematical concepts. Introduction of new concepts is accomplished through progressively challenging the student, as well as by providing support from our experienced tutors and mentors.
With a focus on Algebra1 / Algebra2, Geometry and Pre-Calculus
Algebra is a broad part of mathematics. It is the the study of mathematical symbols and the rules by which one can manipulate them. Algebra 1 focuses on expressions, systems of equations, functions, real numbers, inequalities, exponents, polynomials, radical and rational expressions. Algebra 2 focuses on linear equations, inequalities, graphs, matrices, polynomials and radical expressions, quadratic equations, functions, exponential and logarithmic expressions, sequences and series, probability and trigonometry.
Geometry is a branch of mathematics concerned with questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space.
Pre-Calculus is of course designed to help students prepare for Calculus in university. It’s divided into two major categories: Trigonometry and Math Analysis. Courses consist of trigonometry, complex numbers, conic sections, exponents and logarithms, functions, and vectors.
For students who wish to participate in Math competitions such as MATHCOUNTS®, Math Olympiads, and/or American Mathematics Competitions (AMC), Brainy Learning Club offers advanced tutoring and prep for precisely these types of Math competitions.
Brainy Learning Club’s 3-step approach to help students prepare for MATHCOUNTS®, Math Olympiads and AMC Math competitions is:
Familiarize the student with the structure of the competition’s questions through advanced practice tests
Tutor-guided review of the practice tests to identify areas of challenge and how to prepare
Tutor-supervised practice to strengthen concept knowledge and understanding
